We are delighted to announce that Scott McCabe has joined the Board of NIPANC, strengthening our leadership as the charity continues to grow and build on its recent successes.
Scott is Managing Director of Oasis Travel, Northern Ireland’s leading independent travel agency and a much-loved family-run business. He brings with him extensive leadership experience, strong strategic insight, and a real passion for making a difference — qualities that will be invaluable as NIPANC enters its next phase of development.
Scott’s connection to NIPANC is deeply personal. He first became involved following the diagnosis and passing of his uncle, Gary Corkin, Oasis Travel’s Financial Director, in 2020. Like so many families, this loss brought the devastating reality of pancreatic cancer very close to home. The impact was felt not only by Scott and his family, but across the wider Oasis Travel community.
Since then, Scott, alongside his mother Sandra, aunt Wendy, and colleagues throughout the business, has been a committed supporter of NIPANC. This has included ongoing fundraising efforts and active participation in our annual Pedal The Periphery event — a powerful demonstration of solidarity, awareness, and shared purpose.
Scott now takes this commitment a step further by joining the NIPANC Board, where he will help guide the charity as we continue to fund vital research, raise awareness of pancreatic cancer, and support patients and families across Northern Ireland.
Welcoming Scott to the Board, NIPANC Chair Ivan McMinn MBE said:
“We are absolutely delighted to welcome Scott to the NIPANC Board. He brings real energy, insight and leadership at a time when the charity is growing in both reach and impact. Scott’s personal connection to our cause, combined with his professional experience, will be a huge asset as we build on recent successes and continue working towards a better future for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.”
Scott’s appointment is a testament to the progress NIPANC has made in recent years and the strength of the community supporting our work to improve outcomes for pancreatic cancer patients and their families.
We warmly welcome Scott to the NIPANC Board and thank him for his commitment to helping us change outcomes for pancreatic cancer in Northern Ireland.
